Walking At Sunset

Teejay wanted to kill me when he first heard this one. You see, we had this odd little ritual revolving around his purchases of music equipment. Nearly every time he bought a major piece of equipment, he for one reason or another couldn't use it right away (usually was going out of town or something), so he'd loan it to me until he got back. Well, one of the most important things he ever bought was a Tascam 244 4-track-on-cassette tape deck. As usual, I ended up with it at first. My fascination with boxes and devices (Oh Great TechnoJah!) kept me up till 1am that night experimenting with this wonderful new tool. This song just fell together so easily I was speechless. It was such a departure from the moody depressing stuff I was constantly creating, that I felt the late hour had stripped away the pretenses and let a truly warm peaceful emotion peek through for once. It was quite a shock for Teej to hear this sweet little tune having been created on his brand-new deck before he had even had a chance to power it up. I can't thank him enough for the opportunity.
